Meighen Centre marks 25th anniversary
69³ÉÈ˵çÓ°Íø’s Meighen Centre marked its 25th anniversary this year. A community celebration was held on campus on Oct. 21, the anniversary of the Centre’s official opening.
Spearheaded by a gift from Michael and Kelly Meighen (both LLD ’00) of the then-Themadel Foundation and supported generously by many alumni and friends, the Centre was one of the first of its kind in Canada and is nationally-recognized for its services for students with learning disabilities. Its focus increased a few years ago to include services for students with all types of disabilities, in collaboration with the University’s Wellness Centre.
